Sooo... i turned 19 2 days back! (11th march) It is no different being 19 than 18 just that you're not longer protected by the law aka i am moving towards adulthood and i have to take more ownership and control. Maybe that's why I'm starting to take more things into my own hands for e.g. 1. i really want to get a nose piercing and i may get it after my internship ends!!!! and 2. i want a tattoo that says "remember why, forget how" on idk which part of my body because it's such a short phrase so i dont want it to look odd :[ so yes, those are the 2 semi-weird things that i've been wanting to do since i turned 19. On a more serious note, though, turning 19 means a new world of adventures for me. I really believe that the world is my oyster and i don't ever want to lose that passion and sparkle that (i know) i have. May i also grow and have a stronger walk with God and a sensitive ear to the spirit. May I also become a better person - one with more good values and stronger sense of morals, and to never lose sight of myself no mater the circumstances. Here's to a 19 year old, new and improved, Jean!
Hung out with M on my birthday (hahah, surprise surprise) and it was just really simple! But i enjoyed every bit of it :) we met and had lunch at Indobox, which had really nice indonesian cuisine for a very reasonable price. We each got a main and a side to share, and 2 glasses of Iced milk tea and it amounted to $40? That is super reasonable!! And esp because the restaurant is located at ION where the price of food is really inflated. Told M that i would take a picture of him and the food but i only focused on the food and his reaction after that cracked me up :3
Then he took revenge:
But we managed to take proper pics for each other after that!! It's always such a joy to hang out with M because he's just basically a super nice and genuine person sigh what would i do without him :')
OK, off to continue with my Uni apps! I need to say this.. omg, singaporeans are SO lucky because the government places so much emphasis on the education system and keeps the fees affordable for all! There are also so many schemes in place like bursaries, financial aids and scholarships to help people that want to study but may not necessarily have the capabilities to!! This is a first hand experience i am experiencing now because i'm looking at university fees etc etc. WOW, i am glad i am singaporean... :)
Ok goodbye all X
